The first review! And its Tim Burtons Official website.
As far as websites go, this is by far the most creative one out there, obviously Tim Burton is known for his creepy, almost gothic ilustrations and the website is no different.
The home page to the website is a room, with two darkened lifeless trees framing it, stains boy stands in the middle facing away towards a doorway, To navigate this website you actually control stains boy with the arrow keys, walking through the first door you have one of 2 gallerys to choose from, which consists of a corridor that stains boy walks down (still in your control) with paintings of time burtons work on the wall, if you want to view the paintings larger you can simply walk towards them. All of the time that your navigating the website eerie piano music is playing in the background, which adds a strange sense of macabre to the entire experience.
The way you navigate the website almost makes up for the lack of content, there isnt much information hanging around in this small creepy house. That isnt to say there isnt certain paintings along the corridors that do provide snippets of information, but again, they are just snippets. If someone who didnt know anything about Tim Burton came across this website they would probably think it was a rather boring internet flash game.
In all fairness though there is little easter eggs in the website, for instance if you leave stains boy in the same place for a couple of seconds a stain starts apearing underneath him, and spreads slowly a can of upturned treacle.
All in all, its a quirky and fun little website, deffinetley the most creative to navigate, but lacks information and the experience is over to quick.
